Andrew Korybko, PhD on X: "That I’m an “American and/or Israeli spy in Russia”, it’s the easiest way to manipulate the low-IQ masses into ignoring and even attacking someone. One top influencer with 500k+ followers posted 3x about it in late 2024 (now deleted) and generated over 1M total views. They’ve since done it two more times so now I’ll read “friendly” threads and see “like-minded” accounts who I’ve never interacted with that blocked me. I’m also in a ~100-person chat on X where they did the same and no other “influencer” (I’m a credentialed analyst so they’re not my “peers”) defended me. This was all over my analysis of why Putin didn’t save Assad. One PM’d be support but conveyed fear of being defamed too so they didn’t want to do it publicly. Others attacked me on the basis of my ethno-national identity as a Pole (I was born and raised in the US but am proudly a dual citizen). They claim that “it’s impossible for a Pole to like Russia!” yet won’t apply the same standard to any of Russia’s 180+ non-ethnic-Russian groups. A different influencer strongly implied that I sympathize with Brzezinski’s plot to Balkanize Russia because, you guessed it, I’m not a self-hating Pole. Likewise, since my surname is from “Old Rus” (“Ukrainian”, though it’s actually Lithuanian-originating from Prince Kaributas), they put that twist on it too. It doesn’t matter that Putin wrote about “The Historical Unity of Russians and Ukrainians”, they’ve claimed I can’t “truly” like Russia for that reason. These people deeply hate me and have for a few years already, even longer in some cases. My experiences inspired me to constructively critique the community. They don’t influence my political views at all, but they’ve instilled a deep belief in me that many top “Non-Russian Pro-Russian” influencers are toxic sludge:"
